It's one of the Kenmore "match all" dryers. I remember a number of these that people bought as a first dryer to go with their older automatic washers. I don't remember ever seeing any "match all" washers. David |

Yeah, my sister had that Kenmore dryer, but it sure as hell didn't match her Whirlpool washer -- the model with the box-mounted controls on the right side of its sparse console.
The thing I remember about that dryer was if you set the dial too far into the "More Dry" section, it didn't start the timer and it would sit there drying forever, still set on "More Dry," which at that point was an understatement. |

they called this the "All-American" dryer.....
looked BOL, yet did have nice features, Auto-Dry, Wrinkle Guard I(which was a separate timer mounted to the bulk head), buzzer control was behind the lint filter panel..... it might even had the 'air-freshener' bottle too.... seemed like everyone had this dryer....and if it died, they bought another one just like it... you don't see too many of them around..... |

Washer is a horse.Dryer is just too ugly to be in a collection. However, buried backside down with door removed deep in Alaska, Would make excellent outhouse foundation. |

Very True Martin... Very True
I remember most people bought KitchenAid Custom series. Hobart Quality Build, One cycle, No frills and it got the Job done in under 1 hour. And the results were usually outstanding. Come to think of it, most machines before 1959 or so were pretty much One Cyclers as far as I can recall but I don't seem to recall like I used to. Especially Dishwashers. LOL Actually this might be a good Thread to start... BOL and One cycle machines. |

I can tell you Yogi, that this version of the dryer with the mini hamper door did not have an air freshner. The handle you see is the actual handle for the lint trap itself, it is not a door that conceals the trap. Also this model does not have an Electronic Sensor like the full with door versions did. This one has Automatic Fabric Master as well as Timed & Air cycles. For that reason int was definitely NOT BOL......PAT COFFEY
