I have been looking at the dexter quicktwins. the model with the crown is in my sights for my next washer. however could anyone tell me if after philco came into the picture, did they make both the quicktwin and the twinamatic at the same time? except one was a philco and the other was a dexter? the same machine with different embellisments. kind of like a trans am and a camaro. the same car with a little different twist. thanks Bill

I think after Dexter stopped making home laundry appliances, Philco bought that part of the business and then called it Philco. I have a 1950 TwinDex and it still works, The skirt part of the machine is in rough shape but the last time I used it, it still worked. Happy Washing, Gary

I'm going to look at a dexter quick twin made by philco so it is possible that philco branded the machines under both names at one time.
