Sometime back somewhere was an article I read on the subject. Iirc in some cases it's basically just a name licensing money-maker for a few marketing firms that bought the original rights from the owners to use them and/or license them out when the companies folded or needed an injection of quick cash. |

Emerson Quiet Kool was actually made by Emerson Radio & Phonograph Company, not Emerson Electric. Some of the models even had "Product of Emerson Radio" badges. According to the Appliance Manufacturer magazine that Robert recently made available, Emerson Electric did make its own AC line for a time, but they must not have done very well. Strange since their desk fans were generally the best on the market.
