Decent price....  These work amazingly well - I was happily surprised at how well the one I put into the kitchen in St-Lib heats so evenly.

When were these made?

I am going to be outfitting a 1955 bus for RV use, and want to keep everything as period correct as possible. I always imagined that one of these would be close enough for a MW oven. :)

1971-ish...  I wanted a 60s themed kitchen in St-Lib, but this was a happy compromise for a microwave!

For a '55 bus this would be a good compromise. These came out in '74 and were the first Radaranges with defrost. BUT, I suspect the rust stains in the one photo are between the metal grill and outer plastic and it's going to take some work to repair that. Not insurmountable, but you'll have to pull the outer case and side panel, remove the door springs to take pressure off the door assembly, and then carefully disassemble the door, up to and including removing some nuts on plastic studs that were never meant to be removed. For that reason alone I wouldn't give more than $40.

Patience is just the beginning element needed...

Add some muscle, cursing, and more patience if you decide to take on a door on an Amana RR. Phew, been there, done that. It's not that it isn't possible, but as Cory explained, it doesn't necessarily get easier.

It looks nice, otherwise.
