I thought this would get more views in Super.

Some of you may recall my purchase of a 1962 Delmonico Hi-Fi a while back.  It has a Japanese Voice of Music knock-off record changer which is nearly impossible to find parts for, and the people/guy from the VOM site will have nothing to do with it.

I'd like to switch out this changer for a real VOM unit.  If it's in working condition, great, if not, at least I could get the VOM guy to restore it.  Per the VOM site, they no longer sell restored/reconditioned units, so if anyone has one or can furnish leads on where to locate one, I'd appreciate it.

I just recently found a vintage black porcelain slinking panther TV lamp and I'm anxious to place it on top of the Delmonico Hi-Fi, so I need to get that set re-capped and working.  There's no point in starting the project if I can't find a VOM turntable (or other make that will fit).

Thanks for any leads.

Is this what you are looking for Ralph? This one is from the late 1950's

Thanks Rick.  It looks like it could be the perfect replacement for what I currently have -- if it has stereo capability.

It's been a while since I checked ebay.  I may bid on this one if it's not monaural.

Here's what I want to replace.  Note the "L" and "R" leads from the changer.  The VOM only has a single lead.

Hey Ralph, It is easy to change this over to stereo. In fact, you may be able to use the cartridge and wiring from the "knock off" changer. V/M does not use a mute switch, so you would not have to worry about that.

Cool!  I'll have to look into that.  I may need some guidance, but first let's see how the bidding goes.
