This link came up on my Facebook page this morning, describing the Lee Maxwell Washing Machine Museum in Colorado. Is this true?

Check out the link below. I always wanted to go there. Check out youtube as well. There is a series of tour videos of the different buildings he has. Very neat.

I wonder if he is still kicking? Sure was/ is a real "horse-trader".

I think a visit to the Beltsville museum would be a far far more entertaining and enjoyable experience. While those very early washers are neat they simply...to me anyway,...are not nearly as interesting as the early automatics.

Every one who likes vintage washers should buy a copy of his book, I have bought several at a time and give them as gifts to people who either like or work with the appliance industry, each time he autographed them for me.

I went to Lee Maxwell's Museum in May, 2016. I think he was a vibrant 86 years old then. It was worth every bit of trouble and expense I went through to go there, and I heartily recommend it.
