One of my favorite channels, Weather Channel WeatherScan, has been taken off of the Comcast lineup. I liked it because it showed the conditions all the time. With the regular Weather Channel, you have to wait every 10 minutes for them, plus at night they don't usually show the forecast segment, they just have a bar at the bottom with them.

I guess we're fortunate that we had it this long, as I know others had it removed a while ago.

Forget Weather Channel for the weekend, all their reality shows are on instead of what is happening instead of Ice Road Truckers, who cares about that, I want weather since a storm is coming SOON here.

That Weather Channel original programming with heavy credit given to the Georgia bureau responsible for luring TV and movie production to the state is what I call weather porn. I have no idea what it appeals to, but I guess there are people who really get their kicks from extreme weather and weather related disasters. When that crap is rolling and being rerun, they don't have to pay on air talent so look for more, not less weather from the Weather Channel. I, too miss the weather scan. It was nice to be able to see the radar on TV at 3:30 when I go downstairs to start the day.
