Hi!
Long time lurker here in desperate need of help. I bought my vintage GE Combination refrigerator, stove and dishwasher a year ago from an old Chromecraft plant that was auctioning off all their stuff in order to shut the plant. My suit came out of the executive suite and was as close to mint as I could find. It's been a marriage made in heaven until 2 days ago.....when my fan motor died and ruined everything. The problem is that I cannot the model number listed ANYWHERE and I do mean anywhere. I need that model number in order to get a new fan motor,so I am desperate for help.
I've looked every place. I cannot find one "plate" or sticker anywhere!

Hmmmm.... On the 64 Frost-Guard I once owned the model plate was at the lower rear corner of the inside of the refrigerator compartment.  It was easier to spot when the cripser drawers were removed.

Hope this helps!

Same here.  On my '57 Combination the tag is on the wall inside the refrigerator cabinet.

That is a beautiful fridge -- the exact style and year I'd like to find.  I hope you can find a workable replacement fan for it and can re-use the mounting bracket from the dead one.

As Paul and Ralph suggested.

There are three fan motors on this ref, witch one is failing? The good new is that they can still be had. Some parts places may not have look-up information on a model this old, but you can always take the old FM to a parts place and have them match it up, I could also get you a Pt# for the FM if you post the model #.

Your ref is about a 1959-60 model.

I feel like an epic idiot now! 3 of us looked for that darned model number and couldn't find it (one of us was the appliance repair man). My son comes in later and finds it with ease. It's located behind the left side crisper bin. He pulled the bin back out and there it was towards the very front on the wall panel. We 3 looked and looked and never saw it. The appliance guy says it's the blower motor , so now I can get the part ordered. The appliance shop checked out the actual motor and said that it's working fine. If there are 3 types of motors on my baby, then only the one has been verified as working, so maybe, hopefully, it's just the blower motor. Not sure what other motor there is, but I'm sure there are more. Thanks Everyone Ya'll ROCK

What a beautiful refrigerator. Can we see some interior shots please? Best of luck getting it back into service!

Motors On A 1960 GE Frost Gaurd Ref

There is a fan motor in the freezer to circulate air in the freezer section, there is a blower motor behind the right crisper to circulate air to and from the freezer section to cool the fresh food section, and there is a fan motor underneath in the rear of the ref to cool the condenser and compressor.
