Or is that a whirlpool underneath?

And no Kenmore trip can't be compete without....

Wash'n'wear fill/agitate. And YES, I showed my mom after all these years that it's SUPPOSED to do that!

Post# 163713 , Reply# 7   10/29/2006 at 18:32 (6,388 days old) by jasonl (Cookeville, TN)

It's a Kenmore underneath. The donor machine was a 1982 Kenmore.

Argh!

"Still looks like a pee stream but it is slow"

Ugh! I meant, still looks like a pee stream but it is NOT slow. This one fills mostly to the back of the tub so all you see is stream and a slight bit of the classic Kenmore spray.

Well

Austin had to clear out some machines to make way for new ones. His new baby is teh 24" Kenmo' and the Ge Dispensall. So Jamie got the Bendix and I got Frankenmore.

Hi Jason, I'm glad to see it's up and running in its new home. I hope you enjoy a LOT of Permanent Press cycles with this machine for a long time, even after I end up finding a nice '71 800 which would definitely be a keeper! Only kidding, of course! ;-)

I wish there was a way to better deflect the water into the inner tub so a GOOD Kenmore spray fill could be achieved. I guess all air gaps are different, though. Figures they had to make the fill more boring when they introduced the plastic tub ring.

Have you washed to The 5th Dimension yet?

Yay Jason!!! It's home where it belongs.

Brent, he got his Lady, Helen!!!. The 800 he is seeking is NOT a LK. It's like 2 models down from the 1971 LK, I had the same machine when I aws in high school and college.

Thanks

I did have a slight problem at first with the rear levelling legs. Austin, they ARE self-levelling and the plastic clip on one of those legs broke and for some reason I didn't stick the leg back in right. WEll, Frankie went into spin and shook like crazy. So I aborted and put the clothes in the Oasis to do a final spin. I pulled the washer out inserted the levelling leg into the auto-leveling mechanism, gently picked up the back and let down. Now Frankenmore is sitting up a little straighter and spins much better. So now I need a replacement self-levelling mechanism (if that can be replaced), and of course, I'd love to find an early 70s agitator cap to go on the Rotoswirl.

2 models down?

What was the model between the 800 and the Lady? 900? What did he 900 do different?

And a person has no clue how powerful and fast and invigorating it is until he or she sees it .

You know that old saying about who or what you'd take to that proverbial island if you could only take one thing, etc;

FOR ME :

Washer: Easyspin

Album : DARK SIDE OF THE MOON
