Yes this design has some similarities to the Apex, but it is not the same at all. For one thing the Frigidaire has a stationary pulsator in the center and as Peter pointed out the wash tub rotates in the opposite direction of the wobbling which is again completely different from the Apex. This is by far my favorite Frigidaire patent, I would love to have seen a prototype. Maybe we need to build it? |

Would you use a Frigidaire for the base and somehow rig the tub to rotate? Was there a washer that actually had a rotating tub? |

Hi Venus. The Apex "bounce-o-matic" had a one piece tub/agitator made out of molded fiberglass. When the tub was half full, it would start bouncing. Ross |
