Yesterday I aquired a 6 year old Maytag Neptune (gas) dryer!! It needs a little repair as it makes one helluva racket when running. Probably needs new idlers and rollers for the drum. It'll be fun to tear into and repair! I didn't think to take a photo yesterday, but I will if anyone is interested. I could also take step - by - step photos of the repair... again, if anyone is interested. |

I did a similar refurbishing several month agoto an electric 5500 Neppy dryer obtained on FreeCycle. The drum glides had worn down, front edge of the drum got shredded and tore completely through the front bulkhead. Approx $140 in parts ordered from Sears online, and it's purring along beautifully for the neighbor.
