This is already on the Deluxe Forum. Maytag recall. More reason to keep old machines running

Oh well

There goes the (rumored?) attempt to rebuild Maytag's disastrous reputation! At least we can have faith they are still committed to building products in the cheapest,corner-cuttingest way possible :)

Corporate greed is alive and well.

My gawd can anything else go wrong for them? My Maytag washer I have here in Lynn is one of the recalled units. I have a dishwasher in the apt downstairs that was recalled and now this. I went to the site and the fix is that they are going to send out a GFCI unit to plug into the outlet and then I will have to plug the washer into that. I was reading the FAQ's and there isnt anything that said that if the fire does happen will they fix the washer.
If we get the fire and the washer dies I think I wont bother to have it fixed. I see a Miele Mega washer in my future...hopefully nothing goes wrong with that one if we get it.

Yep, my dishwasher is recalled too and since ive moved I have to call them to get the service repair, instead of just taking care of it online like most companies. Only thing is, I never get throgh to anyone. Isnt that special. If my house burns to the ground im gonna sue em BIG!

Then im gonna haunt em cause likely ill be in it when it goes.

What should we call then now?

Maybe Firetag or Flamepool?
