I was given these a couple years ago when their owner bought a new washer. I've had them in storage in friends' garage, but now they want them gone. The last time I tried them they both worked except the washer didn't spin. Unless someone can rescue them, I'm afraid they'll have to go to the krusher.

Is The Dryer On Casters?

If so and assuming no one wants the entire unit, would you sell off the casters? They should fit my vintage Whirlpool portable dryer nicely.

Thanks

L.

cool machines!

Considering I just rescued one just like this, I'm afraid I have no place for another at the moment. Otherwise I would consider it. You might consider salvaging some of its parts though...maybe the timer, castors, etc.

salvage, please

I understand the space problems, bet most folks here do.

These vintage beauties are coming up frequently these days; my last two visits in the US we picked up one working dryer, did minor work on one washer and overhauled a second dryer.

If you salvaged the parts (esp. trim) from these I really think you would find enough takers to justify the efforts - those casters, for instance.

Even if you can't, a photo shoot for each and her innnards would be lovely.
