as of 2 days ago my LG TROMM wont drain and is making a roaring noise could this be my drain pump as someone i read earlier said it is a nightmare to get parts for not counting the cost of labor etc... so hubby is hoping to put this part on and curious if the drain pump assembly is already assembled thanks!

I have two of them here try cleaning the drain filter they mey just be stopped up.. Hope that is all for your sake.. they are a nightmare in FT Worth to get service on. They will not sell parts to individuals. In this area anyway..

Empty the water using the small hose in the left base of the fron of the washer then unscrew the roublint trap and carefully turn the item counter clockwise to remove it for easy cleaning.Do this on s weekly basis.

The mechanic who fixes my machines here in Tucson also said that LG is a nightmare to get parts for.

I am the person with the LG service nightmare story. I got rid of the machine and feel better. The 5 year warrenty was useless. LG doesn't want to know you. Do you have a service contract? And how old is the machine? Keep us posted. I hope you get better service results than I did.
Best Of Luck

Peter and I both have more than a few problems with service

I think LG should pay for Rehab for the both of us..

I had went to so many agencies like consumer protection. Both local Westchester County and New York State. They couldn't help. It was nothing but BS and worst of all so time consuming as bad as it was it was just easier to purge the unit. I hope you have better luck. Problem is they know they can get away with this stuff. Keep us posted.
