You say you're tired of cramming your down duvets into puny front loaders?

Is the little lady getting tired from stooping over to unload laundry from small front loading washers?

Are you ready to show the Cul-de-Sac just who is king of the laundry?

Well look no further, this little beauty will do not only your largest wash day, but several of your extended family's as well, ALL AT THE SAME TIME!

pretty neat

Wow-nice-and they were in the Navy!Designed to be installed in a submarine.Needs 480V 3ph to run though. You will need that rotoverter and step-up transformer if you want to use it at home-You could be the only one on your block that has a washer(s) from the Navy!

Cannot imagine any sort of step up transformer for home use that would safely power this behomth. Of course if the transformer were hard wired into the breaker box, that would be different.

Wonder who is bidding on this unit? Must be people in the commercial laundry business. Cannot imagine anyone having 480v power in a residential setting.

You would need the rotary converter(device that converts 220v-240V to 3 phase 220-240V 3phase and a transformer to step that up to 480V 3phase-all of the equipment needs hardwiring-not practical for home use setting. There is a possibliity that you could replace the 3phase 480V motor in the unit with a 220-240V one so you could use it at home-that may work and be the least expensive solution.-Of course you would need a 220V outlet installed to run the machine from.Only "residences" I found that may have 480V 3phase is a large apartment building-one of the ones I lived in was fed with 480V 3Ph. For the apartments and other building power neeeds(480V ran the house chiller system for the AC)A transformer in the basement of the building(in a locked vault) stepped down the 480V to 208/120V to run the 208-120V loads in the building. The 120V would run your appliances. The building I work in has MANY transformers that power many loads here. That would be 208V,220V and 480V.

Might work if you had a nuclear (or as Bush would say: nucular) reactor next to your water heater...

"or as Bush would say: nucular..."

I wouldn't go assuming that Applianceville isn't entirely devoid of Republicans...;-)

I don't think it's a partisan thing. It's more of a "Hooked On Phonics" thing, and it clearly didn't work for Mr. President. Can someone please make him some flash cards or something?

Repeat after me, George: newwwww-cleeeee-errrr.

Have any of you all seen the amount of bids on that thing lately? At the time I wrote this message, it's got 20 bids and is over $680!!!

Still, that thing would be nice for washing the sleeping bags in my RV!
