When I lived in Savannah, I got a beautiful full-size art deco bed frame from the trash. It had a shellac finish so I have been restoring it, and it's nearly complete. I just stopped some time ago to work on my thesis. The bed frame is sturdy, with stunning inlays. I need to replace some veneer on the sides, but the finish is almost good as new, nice and shiny. My housemate also got a 1984? Kirby Heritage II from a thrift store for under $10.00, and it works perfectly. At that price, they might as well have been throwing it away! Sometimes the best things in life are free, Dave |

Greg, At the Clean Show last summer, the WP techs said that they have a list of some 200+ "things" that they are going to fix/redesign on the DD WP washer to make it a better machine for both the home and commercial markets. The were very sure that once all these new fixes/designs/ideas get incorporated, the WP would be a much better machine than the Maytag. The look in my eyes was "Yeah, Riiiiiiiiiight..." Maybe Leslie will fill us in... |
