For the first time since I've had my Frigidaire FL I experienced my first ever suds lock. I was washing a couple of nylon gym bags in cold water short cycle. When I went down to put them in the dryer, the display was flashing EF0. I couldn't find anything about it in the instruction manual so I Googled it and from what I read it was a suds lock. The washer reset after I turned it off and back on again.

I had my first kinda suds lock in mine about 2 months ago when washing two small cotton rugs. They kicked up so much foam it couldn't spin for the first few rinses. But I didn't let it get too far without resetting for wash and desudsing with Downey.

I ran it through a rinse and spin, with no clothes. It seems to be working fine now. I'm using the Full Circle detergent, I wonder if that had anything to do with it.

1995 old-style GE suds-lock

When I had my 1995 old-style GE top-loader washer, it sometimes suds-locked-I was afraid the slower spin speed would burn up the single speed clutch on it, so I ran it through a few fill-and-spin out cycles until it spun at top speed.

I've had Whirlpool and Kenmore top loaders and I don't ever recall having a suds lock on either of them. That was a long time ago, it could have happened, and I didn't realize what it was at the time.
