Hi

I want to switch out an agitator on a Raytheon style unit Lw7503w, does it really take a special tool to get the agitator out? Anyone have any alterative ideas?

You should be able to grab the agitator near the base and pull up. Not on the base itself but where the vane come and make the turn. There is a drive bell that the agitator is clipped to. You will see what I mean when you pull it out.
