cool, huh ? I guess these were double the cost of "wringers" back in the '30's and were considered the "Cadillac" of washers. ![]() |

Greg that is a really nice example of an early washing machine! You do not see too many of these anymore, let alone one in that condition. I love the 1930's green color, and the polished brass "washing arms". Did they go back and forth,or up and down? Do be careful about too much use of a machine like this one. After all you have been liberated to the Automatic Era. Do not risk "scrubbing away your youth and beauty" by over use of a non-automatic machine such as this one! Please! There are easier wash days... A concerned club member, Rickr ![]() |

That agitator looks like you put your dining room chandlier in the washing machine! The brass finish on that thing is nice! |

I wonder if those swirling arms were any influence on the spiralator that would come later. hmmm. |

Very cool machine, Greg! My grandmother had an EASY she kept even after she got automatics. She used it for rugs and rags and my grandfather's garden clothes. It was green enamel like yours and had the locking spinner lid, but it had a spiralator in it. I have seen ads for Easys of that period that offered both kids of agitation. They must have made both types when they were transitioning from vacuum cup to agitator. I'd love to see your video. Rich |
