Nice Vintage Washer/Dryer

Hey Sam,

Where are you located? I am in Regent Square. I have checked all the sources here that everyone recommends - Craigs list and used appliance stores. I want an 806 so what am going to do? Ship one from California...

Sometime end of last year beginning of this year a member named TrainGuy (I think I have that right) had some beautiful stuff for sale. Among others, he had a 906 set which was beautiful and if I hadn't just bought a washer I would have purchased this set.

I think that Estate Sales are probably our best bet here. I just don't have the flexibilty to get to them right now.

Good Luck and if you come up with a good source please let me know.

Appliance Warehouse

I ALWAYS forget about that place. I usually just check the small appliance stores that are still in existance around here despite Lowes and Home Depot...These tend to have a selection of used appliances. Mostly Kenmore DD, but occassionally something much more vintage.

THANKS for the reminder!

LOCALS - Come and Get 'Em

Guys,

I should be back home the first part of May. Randy (variflexpghpa) has also been wanting to get the locals together. I'd be glad to open up the storage unit and you take whatever you want. There are some great pieces in there.

I can show you what I have at the house sometime, too. Randy and I will also take you to the Appliance Warehouse if you're interested. I haven't been there since last fall.

Rich

You don't happen to have a 1968 Whirlpool BD washer with the crescent console light to you? Like that one:

Hey, are there any center dial gas dryers in there anywhere? I am looking for at least 2, especially ones with the sensors.

Rich,

Since you are practically right over the hill from me I think it would be great to have a meet once you get back, and the appliance warehouse looks like a dream
