In Courtship of Eddie's Father(the movie version) the housekeeper is learning Spanish and loading the dishwasher. Last Married Couple in America: Natalie Wood loading a KDS-18. War of the Roses: Kathleen Turner loading a Jenn Air reverse rack and ending with a close up of the control panel. Without a Trace: Kate Nelligan loading and starting a late 70s Westinghouse. My Aunt had a similar one that I've used many times. The Ice Storm: Joan Allen loading a 60s Kitchen Aid. Disturbia: Shia Labeouf doing a horrible job loading a Frigidaire. I'm sure I'll remember more later. |

I watched Good Fellows last night. The white portable dishwasher looked very Kenmore/Whirlpool. What was the coppertone built in in the background? |

I have always wonder what kind of dishwasher that was in "The Birds" with the really big sliders on the rack. |

before the bought the house they lived in an apartment with a center island and the dishwasher seemed freestanding next to the osland sink....that magically loaded....with a wiggle of the nose...and the control turned on and there was a window in the front that you could see the water splashing...also it was a top loader...just never saw another one like it

In the last Godfather epic, Al Pacino is in the kitchen and they have a KDS-14. It was in a few scenes! |

They had an avocado KDS-16 in the Kitchen above the Funeral Parlor! They had another one in the earlier episodes but I forget what it was! |

Was that a Waste King in the corner of the kitchen in Fresh Prince? I love the sleek styling of the control panel on that machine. Can't see any buttons! |

Regarding 6 Feet Under, I just watched all 5? seasons this year, and I believe starting in Season 2, the KDS-16 was replaced with an avacado D&M Caloric. I never saw the dishwasher used or even open. They were always hand washing dishes. But there were quite a few scenes shot in the kitchen with full view shots of the dishwasher. Only we would notice a change in dishwashers! Mike |
