Cool stuff, but the asking price is way too much.

That's an understatement!!!

Who would have thought, back in the 80's when all of this stuff was hitting the dump, that these old appliances would go for big $$ (and new appliances would be so crappy)!!

You may want to reconsider that dishwasher. It's Hotpoints first wash-arm, non-impeller dishwasher--the image has been inverted-but it looks like it has cycle buttons so it's not BOL like my best friend from highschool's house had, the BOL model. Held a ton of dishes.

It is possible

that the seller might be willing to negotiate. The "999" might, and I say might, just be a ploy like "LQQK!" No harm in asking the seller, I think.

If you don't ask...

It's definitely worth asking! They can't shoot you, right??
That is a fab dishwasher! If I was in the Phoenix area, I'd be chasing it myself! OMG does this mean I am turning 'pink'???

I would love that dishwasher myself, but the price is rediculous. They might come down in price when no one buys it at that price.

I get this from people on a regular basis. They think their old white Detroit Jewel stove is worth $1000. I just laugh and wish them good luck. Most people though will give away a treasure for $10 or $20, somtimes for nothing. matt
