We had this model here in Brazil many years ago and it was great. The only negative point here in Brazil was the 500 rpm spin speed.

At the same time Electrolux (it was Prosdocimo yet) launched a 900 rpm machine.

Does this machine have the spin drain used on its Philips forerunners?

I wanted one of those style machines in 1996 when my Mum last replaced the washer - had my eye on an Aqualine 1100 for a very reasonable £299 but the lady in the shop said "you'll have trouble with that one". Perhaps it was a dud model becasue the range seems to have lasted well enough, anecdotally.

Admittedly, the Hotpoint WM12 we got instead (bit of a second choice - I also had my eye on the Hoover Soft Wave with its lovely rocker switches - apparently not a good machine according to retrospective opinions here, though) is still in good working order, so the ensuing choice seems to have paid off for Mummy Dearest!

Anyway, a bonue to have in your collection, Louis. Many happy washdays for you!

Alex

"you'll have trouble with that one"

LOL. My aunt had the aqualine 1100 model, AWG750 the model number was... Had Three Dials. Programmer Programmes 1-9 plus A & B. Temp dial, Cold to 95c. Spin dial, Rinse hold, 1, 2, 3, 4 and Max.... Not sure what speeds, 1, 2, 3 & 4 represented though. Three Buttons On/Off, Rapid Wash and Half load i think the third one was.

Never had an ounce of trouble in its life and it lasted I think 10 years and was thrown away fully working in favour of a Zanussi Jet System. Although I loved the machine at the time, had I been a registered member on here back then and known its true specialty I would have rescued it and hope to have one some day.

Never a bit of bother simply worked and worked and worked lol. Handled anything you threw at it, including 4 house moves and washing mountains of dust sheets!

Excellent machines
Dan
