So i walked through my new apartment today. kitchen's got virtually brand new electric GE appliances ( :-) )

the washer and dryer are early 2000 whirlpools.

so, what's the deal with this weird agitator? why the tall skirt under the fins shaped like a dish. and why's the tub so narrow? doesn't that throw off roll over?

I have a 24" Kenmore 70 that has the skirt similar to this one. Rollover is good, quite amazing in fact. I run jeans through that machine, as well as sponges that anything else would have trouble sucking down. Not this one!

never understood this one myself, always replaced it with a regular dual action, more capacity to me, a lot better than just a straight vane any day....
