Detergent-free oil only. Go to your hardware store and get some 3-in-1 designed for electric motors. Comes in a blue bottle. Costs less than $5. It's your best friend. Grease the bearing and you can kiss it goodbye. |

It had oil at one point, but it's since dried out. See the link below for an explanation of how they work, how to service/refurb them, etc. The video is for a motor bearing, but the dryer bearings are the same thing. |
