Personally I think this Maytag is the neatest looking, I'd go get it myself if it was a little closer. There is also an old Kenmore with it. Not too cheap though.

Too bad their price is so high, they are both nice finds. In fact, another member had just offered the matching washer in another thread.

Hey----

Isn't the model number for the washer a 1956 'Kenmo?!

I'm wondering if that dryer could be a condensor model? Sure looks like one my aunt had.

Baby Kenmore

These Kenmore's are popping up like crazy for the last two months and someone is looking for the timer dial.
Just see if they would part the machine out if no-one wants to buy it. I could use the water valve!
LOL

To "Northwesty"

While that maybe a "cool" looking Maytag Dryer that is in the photo, what I am interested in more is that Kenmore Washer.

The washer in question...... is that the 1967-73 Kenmore Portable that several members of the club has in their collection(s) (i.e. -- Revin Kevin and Jeff Adelphi)??? Or is that a different model altogether???

The reason I am asking this is because, if that's the Kenmore 2-Speed/3-Cycle Portable Washer I am interested in, then what I want to know is how close to D. C. is it??? And what kind of condition is it in??? If nobody wants it, and if it's not too far, I may be interested in it. I'll even pay to have it shipped to me if shipping isn't too expensive. I've got friends (i.e. -- Kenmore Experts) here at the club who can help me get it going if it needs any kind of work or anything.

My e-mail address is "chaskelljr2@yahoo.com" if you need to get in touch with me or anything.

Thanks......

The seller had the dryer model down as a 601G. I suspect it is actually a 601C. This would be the early standard vented electric dryer (pre HOH). If it were water dryer, the model number would be a 601W.
