Its true. That Cruel-Action corkscrew really rolls 'em! As for the Frigidaire,the problem is the 1-18 has too much water in it! To get good roll-over in a 1-18 you have the set the water level MUCH LOWER than you think! | ||

That is funny. Yeah, the Ultra-Clean sure does roll those clothes over and no doubt has extracted the water a LOT better than the Whirly. HOWEVER, rollover is not everything and that Whirly sure is aggressive. Something tells me both machines would have done an excellent job of cleaning! | ||

I totally agree with Steve, rollover isn't everything. My 1956 Norge has very little rollover, but a very similar machine got top cleaning marks in the 1954 Consumer Reports automatic washer report. Because of its aggressiveness the Whirlpool Surgilator will out clean the 3-ring agitator if the jeans are extremely dirty, but with that aggressiveness comes added wear and tear on the clothes. For most of my clothes I prefer the more gentle up and down action. | ||
