Who owns a Kitchenaid Washer with a turquoise agitator? I have been fascinated with these machines for a little while but cannot find much information about them online.

I would love to see one in action.

Thanks

MRB

These would be a great find for a daily driver, IMO.

Identify This?

Can someone identify this kitchenaid washer model? Does it have a DA agitator or a super surgilator? white or turquoise?

I had a KitchenAid with the turquoise agitator several months ago, but sold it. I just didn't think there was enough interest among collectors. I'm not sure exactly which model the one in the photo above is, but the control panel on mine was of the same color: Black. It also had three knobs to the left of the control dial instead of two.

I'll get pics of my panels shortly. Until then, these are my parents' 1994 pair.

DADoES:

Your parent's KAWE670B is the exact same model I had. Except mine had suffered some damage from an abusive owner. The clear plastic that goes over the indicator dial on the timer was busted off. The timer knob was stripped, so you could only advance it by turning the indicator its self. I assume that's why the clear plastic was missing. So yes, it needed a new timer. There were some chips in the porcelain inner tub, and the bottom was also scratched up badly. The chrome part on the fabric softener dispenser was crusted with scale buildup and rust. Overall, my KitchenAid was so gummed up with hardened detergent and fabric softener that it was literally inoperable. It also leaked down the clogged up bleach dispenser, which, I guess, somebody confused with a detergent dispenser.

I just have to wonder if that machine is still alive, even. Last I heard from the buyer, it was working running just great. It's too bad, really. I am sure I could have done more to save it by offering the nice lady a shredmore with a good timer instead. What was I thinking?

Nice Set!

Dadoes,

That set is very nice and well maintained. I would expect the interior of the dryer drum to be denim blue by now.

Thanks for posting.

Sure. Please post a few pics. What are you asking for your set? Are they on Craigslist?

Kitchen Aid Set

They are on CL Atlanta, I have them on there for $200, I ve been considering going down on them. I bought them off the showroom floor in Murphysboro IL back in 1993. I wanted the electronic pair, which was one step above these, at that time they had discontinued them. I paid $1100.00 back then. But the Washer is amazingly quiet to this day. It has the slower agitation and turq in color. I has the 3 speed spin, starts out slow then steps up and finally higher for the end. Dryer has soft heat system and auto dry still works well. They are almond in color and the washer has a scratch on the front thanks to a recent move. I moved to East Atlanta and need a stack in my laundry space. Great set.

Kitchenaid TL

Howdy, I have a 1998 with the turquoise agitator. Never had a problem with it. The last load I did was 5 pairs of jeans, 2 shorts, 5 t-shirts, 6 boxers, I pair of sweats and a crap load of socks. Turn over was great. It's very quiet and reliable
