Well, I looks like he's not wearing safety glasses, bad move!! At least it's not plugged in. Destroying a GE FF with white porcelain tub? That's one of the better one's. One less GE FF, the others increase in value. Yes, what a moron!!!

Just a swingin'

1) Someone needs to teach that young man how to actually swing a sledge hammer, and;

2) He sould be taught the difference between a sledge hammer and a wood-splitting maul, and;

3) He's a pin-head idiot!

Based on the comments here, I cannot even click on the link.

Shouldn't dignify it with another hit on utube, IMO.

I am suprised he did not mess up his eyes because did you happen to see the finish flying off as he smashed it shards of that stuff could have flown up and messed his eye up.In the words of Red Foreman What a dumb ass.

Disturbing!

Very disturbing! This is just as bad as the video of the bozo who destroyed the Whirlpool DD machine just because some of the control knobs were missing.

Just an example of what is coming up to run this nation. I had kids this summer that could not multiply 10x5 without a calculator. How sad is that !!!

As much beating as that machine took...aside from the motor supposedly going out, you could have plugged it in halfway through the beatings and it still would have worked!

"Very disturbing!"

rll70sman: To say the least, yes! Indeed it's disturbing. Who's to say this guy won't break into someone's house some day? I bet he's dang lucky he wasn't doing that to a Unimatic in Minnesota.

Why do people even make a video out of it & post in the internet? Even for a burned out lightbulb, I prefer not to smash it when placing in the trash

What a little dumbass he is. I'm really concerned about the kids of this day, and sadly it's not been all that long since I was one, I'm only 35. I see teens doing some of the strangest and most foolish things these days. All of these loose morals, and lack of good discipline are to blame.

A GE washer with a white basket, the last time I thought GE did that was 1953??? I suspect that the machine isn't American made, maybe Canadian or Australian?

What a dope!Couldn't he have given the machine to someone that would have replaced the motor-a "blown" motor isn't that serious enough to justify destroying the machine.Yes-no safety glasses and and ussing an Axe-maul as the tool-not good as safety goes-use a sledgehammer instead as a striking tool-the ax-maul could bounce back towards you with that sharp edge coming right at you!I am also concerned with the urge of destruction in some young folks.Hope he doesn't try to break into my place-I would have a Triple tap surprize for him!
there are other disturbing videos on that same menu the ax hammered washer was on-some stupid kids throwing a dryer off a footbridge onto a railroad track.Then the kids were trying to drop the machine again and someone caught them and was calling the police-then the kids stopped filming.Another video shows a really dumb idiot running into a FL washer with his Jeep.The man that destroyed the GE FF washer also is with the other "Kenny" smasher.That idiot that smashed the DD WP washer while it was going-and trying to throw things into its spinning drum.Then he burned out the motor.

I watched part of the video but couldn't take it so i was reading the comments down below. He said his father or his friends father trashes better machines than this. Maybe someone should contact him and see if this guy is interested in getting rid of some machines or parts that this group may need. Maybe a good source for parts. These kids could dismantle and start a little business out of this. You never know sometimes something bad like this could turn out to be something good for a lot of people here.

What a waste!

Especially with a washer that's not built that way anymore. And all it needed was a new motor? What a butthead! I'll bet the newer models won't take half as long to destroy as this one did. The filter-flo sure put up a good fight!

White Basket GE

Yes, here in Canada, many GE's came with white baskets at different times throughout the years. I recall some from the early 70s and the 90's. That particular victim appears to be a model from the 80's, as it had the newer ring-type lint filter.

Because without all of you I would be very upset over this video, I did stop watching after the second hit!

While I can't save or have all the machines I want I do take comfort in the fact that all of you have saved some of just about every type machine in our past and future collectables.

Leon,

I'm Canadian as well, but trust me, you'll never see me pulling off such a boneheaded act like that! This guy simply has mental health issues, regardless of his nationality.

Take a look at the guy's nick. Doesn't it sort of remind you of that stuff that goes down the sewer pipes about a day or so after a good Thanksgiving dinner?
