hi you lot, i was wondering, as ive only seen bendix, hotpoint and servis washers and dryers from the 1980s i was wondering, were there matching dishwashers for the bendix 7000 series washers and dryers, hotpoint 9000 series washers and dryers and servis square door washers and dryers all from the 1980's?
would love to see if there were, thanks
phil

Hotpoint Dishwashers

Bosch made the matching dishwashers to the 9000 range of machines. They did not look really like laundry appliances. We had a dishwasher and a washer drier. The dishwasher was fantastic! Lasted for 15 years and got scrapped because of a rusted bottom.

No idea about the other brands though! I know they did make dishwashers in the 1970s. Never seen any 80's machines though!

Bendix

Hi Philip,
David is right about Hotpoint/BSH. One of British AW members (MatchBoxPaul?) has one in his storage, I saw it in a old thread pic.

Philco Italiana has never had its own DW plant. So Philco and Bendix DW were just plain rebadged Merloni. Smeg did the same. Take a Smeg, a Philco and an Ariston of the age : they look pretty close and have the very same cycles/temps/options and models. I'll post some pic a.s.a.p.

What about pre-Candy-age Hoover DW ?

Ciao !
Carlo

Hoover dishwashers

Were made by Zanussi before the Candy take over.

We briefly had a Servis starlet dishwasher from the mid-80s, bought 2nd hand around 1996 and had it till 1998, when it rusted though and leaked all over the place. I don't know who made them, but considering Hotpoint and Hoover outsourced their dishwashers and Servis didn't even make all the parts for their washers, I'd imagine they were almost certainly made by someone else too. Here's a pic I was shown on here when I enquired about it a while back.

I'd love a Bosch made Hotpoint, Fantastic dishwashers they were :)

The starlet is a Servis lol, well, it's made by whoever made Servis dishwashers, but its badged as Servis.
