Hi Guys Thought i'd show a couple of better pics of my 2 recent ebay purchases that were alerted to me by Ash. Both of these machines are 1800klms away in Victoria where a wonderful friend picked them up for me and is storing them at his farm until i can get them to Brisbane. The first is a matching Simpson Dryer to my 1958 fluid Drive washing machine. Seems in great condition. This means i now have 4 matching Simpson Fluid Drive washer and dryer sets. Price? Pretty good for AU$60.00! The 2nd is a 1975 Wilkins Servis 501 with heater. Again, looks in great condition. Will need a new lid and hoses etc and i will probably replace the porcelain bowl with a spare stainless steel bowl i have. This is the TOL version based on Maytag mechanicals. Not bad for AU$1.25!!! Pics were taken from a mobile phone...best i can offer at the moment. Cheers Leon |

Wow - great find with they dryer - nothing like having the first Simpson set! The washer is great. I love the differences between the US Maytag machines and the Aussie Wilkins/Servis machines. The tub top is not white, and it also has a dark finish large cap wash tub, which was also never produced in the US. Also - this is the first time I've noticed where there water heater was located. I wish there was an easy way to get one of these to the States. Too cool! Ben |

Very nice washer! Notice all the "extra" grounding/earthing wires (compared to a US model) due to the heater and/or 220v. |
