This comes from Greg's (gansky) collection and big thanks to Ben (swestoyz) as well for getting a new scanner when we were all visiting Greg. I was able to scan over 150 images, some of which will make for some great new Picture of the Day images over the new few weeks. Look at this wonderful brochure that I scanned in full size (16.5mb) for everyone to enjoy... CLICK HERE TO GO TO unimatic1140's LINK |

What a horribly behaved child. I'd probably kill her. |

"If ever a product should be finished in lifetime porcelain, it is a washer which is often installed in damp basements and constantly exposed to rusting and corrosive action of water, soaps, softeners and bleaches." Would that Frigidaire thought in those terms now. Would that any company thought in those terms now. Of course, if you made the outside that well, you'd also have to beef up the plastic interior parts and the Cracker-Jack-toy electronics inside... Ain't. Gonna. Happen. Thank Heaven for collectible machines! |

OMG, the indicator "bubble" light near the WARM/HOT switch on page 5 is identical to the one my grandmother had on her HUGE deep freeze. It flickered on and off most of my childhood and finally died in the early 1990s. They have bought Frigidaire appliances since the 50s. I recently visited to find a newer Frigidaire fridge with no ice maker--guess you can still get them that way.

the kitchen, the orange nose a-glow and my nose only reaching the gorgeous chrome dome on the machine's front. Only two or three I remembered how fast the rinses were. So happy to learned they were a minute and a half. That's how they cycle made up for lost time in the 4 minutes for the extra fill. Shocked to see only a 3 minute dry. Come to realize that the Easy of the period says to spin dry 2-3 minutes adter the spray rinse. Interesting. Thanks to you and Greg for a wonderful afternoon tea reading, full of answers to questions I've wondered about for 50 years. The artistic renderings are almost prettier than the reality, especially the GIGANTIC DIAL highlighted in blue and yellow--GOOD LORD! Question: Am I harming my 56 by adjusting the pressure at the taps, instead of installing a pressure valve as you advised Eddie to do? |

I love this brochure - just beautiful. There are many more in the "library" and I've ordered a new scanner just like the one Ben bought so there will be more coming! Don't worry, Fred, there was probably lead in that crayon the little girl used to color on the washer and she's paid the price many times over. You're terrible Muriel! |
