Hello everyone! I saw the thread from a while back for the this dishwasher here in Los Angeles and I saw that no one won the ebay auction. I emailed the seller and he said he did indeed still have it for sale. I went today and picked it up for $120.00 I wouldn't have paid so mch except for the fact that its IMMACULATE and runs well. The only thing I need help with is finding a new inlet solenoid as the water doesn't turn off. If you know of one or where I could get one please let me know - here are some pics - it's a real beauty! Matthew |

what a great looking machine..well worth the money you paid for it. The solonoid should not be very difficult to change out on that one. |

Your photo essay rocks. Simply beautiful, and you had such a lucky easy fix on the stuck plunger. Wonderful The silver shot of the cycle selector is sterling, and the machine itself is gorgeous. I also used to love your old website, visited many times; I see it's gone now--oh well ;-D Here, Matt, is a favorite GE shot for you. |

i have one just like it except minus the silver shower, i love it. your's looks great! i had to put a new motor on mine. larry at modern parts in parma has pump seals and other parts. you should be able to find a replacement solonoid easy enough. it doesn't have to be the exact one for that model or brand. if i remember the fill hose does screrw onto the solonoid with a 3/4 inch female garden hose style fitting so you will need a solonoid with a 3/4 inch male end on it. again they should be around. a washer inlet solonoid would do. i would use it if i had to. you might want to call larry however, i just bought a pump seal about a month ago for a g.e. mobile maid just like your's and mine. i bought another one and have to pick it up in buffalo, wanted a pump seal in case i need it. they won't last forever! also 120 bucks is not a bad price, i always pay between 100-100 for any of my dishwashers. i paid 200 for my first mobile maid plus shipping from michigan! i admit the second one i did get for a buck on e bay but i am going to give the woman another 50 when i pick it up. but usually 100-200 is what i pay so you got a good deal! it looks mint! enjoy! |

i see you did get it working, even better!!! i don't have an owners manual but i do have the g.e. service tech manual and it does include that style pump and motors. i completely rebuilt mine last summer and posted it here with a lot of pics! i had a real problem getting the wash impeller off till i made a "puller" out of wood and bolts to pull it off motor shaft. this can all be found in the archives if you ever have to put in a new pump seal or whatever.

We had a 1966 MobileMaid. The exact same Model. In 1966 the Only Differences were GE changed the racks to Blue and the timer dial had like two thumb "wings" on it for easier turning. Other than those 2 things, all the controls, cycles, spray arms, tower, powershower and silvershower even the chrome accents on the upper racks were all the same. Good Luck with your Great Find. Stunning Machine. Eddie |
