I joined the forum two weeks ago and didn't even say "Hi". The first thing I did was answer a question on Thread 26922. Mine was the first answer. See what you think.
Anyway, "Hi". I'm Brian. I enjoy the site and read it most every day. Most people on here seem quite intelligent and friendly. It's nice to read a forum where people engage in an informative exchange of information and don't say rude and hurtful things to one another. Well done everyone. BKK

My Maytag family photo will hopefully make you feel at home!
(the "family" has changed since this photo was taken. I guess I should update it... LOL)

Hello Brian - Welcome.

dishwashercrazy's profile picture
I see in your profile, you had a 1970's Kenmore dishwasher.

I was just in Columbia 5 weeks ago to day, 10 miles north on Rt. 63, picking up this January 1973 Kenmore Roto-Rack dishwasher (I'm going to creat a thread about it soon). I spent all day yesterday cleaning it all up. Maybe you are interested in adding it to your collection?

Mike

Thanks for all of your welcomes, everyone. And thanks for the offer on the dishwasher, Mike. But I'm more in love with the KitchenAid Superbas' now, though. I'm more interested in acquiring a set of 800 or 900 series Maytags to recondition, now.

Hi Brian

I'm a newbie too. I must admit i frequent the forum here daily.
Thank my mom's need to have her washer fixed for my introduction.

At first I thought it was wacky...now I'm starting to understand.

I love old tube amplifiers and have even built a few. Old Fender's I could understand but old appliances?...I thought, what gives. It's not a whole lot different really.

Hi trapperjohn
Reading your post i saw that you consider "wacky" our passion for vintage appliances...but what so wacky ???????
It is a passion like an other ... as someone else likes vintage cars or vintage Toy collectors etc...

Love your Maytag collection, Kevin. How long did it take you to acquire? Do you know where I can get service manuals for 806 and 808 dryers?
Brian
