I did a Clean Washer Cycle last night on my Maytag 5000 Series FL Steam washer. I did this not becaue it needed it, but mostly because I wanted to see the water splash, but I digress.

My question is: I noticed that the initial water it took in was hot. This is the water that it takes in does a quick sensing and then dumps before steaming for about 20 minutes.

But the second time it took in water and all subsequent times the water was cold. The book says that this cycle operates at sanitize temps, but the water was cold. The water lines are hooked up correctly and there haven't been any problems on other cycles. Is this a fluke? Is there someting wrong with the program? Just wanting to ask before I bother MayPool about it.

I think the cold water is used for rinsing if you used bleach as part of the clean washer cycle. It sounds like it is working correctly.
