I read the ad in the pod.It says there was a new agitator in the 63 line? I thought the jet-action did not come out til 64-65? Or is it just a variation of the 3 ring?

Yes, Robert thank you again.I can see that the rings on the 63-64 line were farther down on the post.Did this actually make any difference in the washing action?.....seeing as the older three rings already had great turnover.

We had a '64 with that different 3-ring agitator--did not seem to act differently as far as the clothes were concerned. Was in a discussion with a friend the other day about the tub size of the old solid-tub Frigidaires. My friend was of the opinion the tub size was the the same right on through up untill the 1-18. I seem to remember the '64 as having a larger tub than our Unimatic. Am I loosing my memory? Wish I still had that '64! -Steve

Steve, you are correct. That is why Frigidaire changed the agitator to fit it its new 12lb pound solid tub.
