Hi group....an opinion question for fans of Final Touch: Since Lever sold this item, has the product changed? I've not used it in years, but I've seen it in stores and have been thinking of trying it again, but is it much different from years past? (changes in scent, performance, etc.) It used to whiten and brighten because of the bluing in it. And what was Lever Bros. thinking when they sold it???

Final Touch

My mother ALWAYS used Final Touch. I think it is the only thing she was every brand loyal to. When it got very hard to get in our area she would have me drive her over an hour away to stock up on it. It is now available in our area again. I asked her about it and she said it has changed but it is (in her opinion) the best out there. The scent is (again her opinion) the same or very close. JEB

Final Touch

Now that P&G has destroyed the classic scent of Non-Concentrated Downy, "April Fresh", I will be buying Final Touch exclusively. While it doesn't have the whitening and brightening capabilities like the vintage formula, it smells great and it is very reasonably priced. It is very easy to find here in Florida.
Final Touch is offered in Spring Fresh, and Lavender scents. They also make dryer sheets as well. It is manufactured by a company called Phoenix Brands.

Leslie~

Albertson's, Sweetbay, Winn-Dixie, Sedano's, and Bravo Supermarkets sell Final Touch.
Publix, Walmart and Target do not sell it.

Where are you located?

Final Touch

You can also order Final Touch Fabric Softener through Netgrocer.com.
Netgrocer.com works in partnership with ShopRite Supermarkets in the NY/NJ Tri-State area.

Sarasota here. No more Albertsons or Winn Dixie around. Publix & Walmart dominate the grocery business in the area. Just a few Sweet Bay stores; I will check them out. Thanks for the heads-up.

Jitney Jungle Stores

Jitney Jungle hasn't been around for a good 10 years or so. I believe they were bought out by Winn-Dixie.

Dan- I am pretty sure you can find Final Touch at the BI-LO Grocery store chain up there in Charlotte.

I saw it in one of our local store, but for the life of me I cannot remember which one.  I thought Hy-Vee was the store that carried since that's the store I shop at the most.  My mother and grandmother used it all the time.

Danman,

Bi-Lo carries it here in Charlotte. They are South Carlina based and may have some Tennessee stores. I would be glad to get some and send it to you if you like - just e-mail me.

Love it! Mom used it for years, and its the one I use at home.

I bought the large bottle a while back and usually get the smaller sizes on sale, and use the large bottle to dilute.

ShopRite usually has it up here in NJ. Hard to find elsewhere tho. Never see it in WalMart.

This is available at Food City for all the NE TN/SW Va folks out there. I bought a bottle, but haven't used it yet.

Final Touch is pretty available here in Connecticut at Shop Rite and some of the smaller IGA type markets. Don't think Stop & Shop carries it anymore (big surprise). Also have seen it in an occasional WalMart - funny that not every one carries it and ours are not that far apart.

Also, someone asked recently about NuSoft - that is available here at IGA and ethnic supermarkets (like Compare Foods)

ive tried nusoft for the simple fact that it boasts "hypoallergenic" mild and all that so ive used it and like it! i think i payed 3 dollars and change for it....final touch is good too i think for people like us or me that do not want overpowering scents and or have skin allergies these do the trick.

nusoft and final touch my choice for 2011!!!!

Well, I got around to trying it--smelled a bit perfumy to me...and it has a watery, gel-like consistency. After the dryer, smelled about like all the rest I suppose.
