I have a large 9kg F&P Intuitive TL washer and a small 5kg older model smart drive washer. I only noticed yesterday that the agitators in both machines are exactly the same size. Always assumed they would differ according to the size of machine they were in. I guess it explains why the movement of the laundry in the smaller washer is much much more dramatic than in the larger 9kg model.

Interestingly though, it doesn't seem to impact significantly on the ability of the larger machine to clean effectively if the latest choice tests are anything to go by....sure, there is a couple of percentage points difference in cleaning ability, but we're talking only 3% or so, so given that the unassisted eye cannot see differences of less than 6%, it doesn't matter...
