Steve, my KDS-14 has a quirk- on the drain cycle.
sometimes it doesn't drain, the solenoid clunks but no water comes out. I replaced the drain hose as the former had a 90degree elbow in it, now when it does drain the water almost shoots out of the disposal! But it doesn't always drain and if I dont' catch it early the prewash water will travel all the way through to the final rinse! YUK! If I stop the machine at drain and wait to hear a gurgle, then when I turn it back on the water will drain. Can the drain valve plate come off the drain plunger shaft inside the valve?? I can see the plunger move out when the solenoid activates, but no water flows. Mystified in Melrose jon |

the drain lever and rod check okay.
So am heading down to the pump! John tells me he has had experience with a dropped drain line and mine is definitely dropped so will try resetting that first before breaking into any lines. I was reading Doctrine the other night and found mentioned a KDS-44 machine! It was counter height!! I want one of those!!! 18 inches up on a HOBART cabinet!!! |
