I recently picked up a 15 year old condensor dryer. I don't have the model number on me right now.

What I'm trying to fiqure out is how to replace the lightbulb inside. There is a glass? dome that I can't fiqure out how to open. I have wiggled, and turned. Does anyone know what the secret is?

OK...

I've checked the model number and it's Lavatherm 720.

So now it seems we have two questions at hand removing the glass and how to access the bulb!

uhm...

well i would suggest googling the model. u might come across something showing u how to disasemble anything. but i would try tryin to unscrew the glass and maybe open up the top of the dryer. u might find how to access the globe and take the glass off. worth a shot. if i still had my 620 i would check it out for u but i sold it last year

Looks like there is nothing in the manual about changing the light bulb.

BTW, your dryer is older than 15 years. It's a model from the eighties, probably second half.

Louis. From the eighties...the more vintage the better!

Here is the link to the exploded views for your Lavatherm 720. I'm not sure where the lightbulb is though.

Tom.

Have a look at page 5 of this service manual. The manual is for a later model, but yours may use the same setup.

Tom.

for the scan. I believe the "glass dome" is on page 3, number 647 070 480. It just doesn't show enough!

The second link I posted may be of more use. The cover definitely unscrews though, I think it's just very tight.

Thanks Tom,

That is a very complete service manual. So now I know for sure it screws off.
