noticed in a flyer today that"frigidaire"top loads are still offered;
are these "old skool"franklin washers?if so,looks like there are two
"old skool"washers still in production-these and SQ top loads.
(presuming all DDs are out of production now)

Are still in production in some basic models and the 24" & 27" one piece gas & electric stack models, I don't know for how long however.

Last I heard from one of our members in the know at Whirlpool, the DD may remain in production through this year. Brands such as Amana, Admiral, even some Kenmores. Apparently orders kept coming in, even from Sears, so WP decided to keep them going on one production line in Clyde for the time being. I think I heard too something about the more basic models being a focus.

The one-piece stack units may stay in production even longer until WP figures out what to do for a replacement washer in that design.

Aren't there still some basic GE machines being made with a transmission?

What I heard from reliable sources I see at Sears and HD is they are already having some serious issues regarding the new "World Washer" models.
