Just wondering how old this dishwasher would be?
I remember working at Sears in the mid to late 90's and they would come through. I recall the were very heavy. I was watching Roseanne and I think when they won the money and had the house redone, there was a black version in the kitchen. That show would have been late 80's early 90's. Was this the first style of KA that didn't have the big latch on the front?

KA DW 
This was the first KA that was totally designed and built by WP. I think the only part of it that even resembled the earlier Hobart designs was the four way lower wash arm and the name. But all in all it was a very good machine except for the CHEAP AND NON DURABLE ELECTRONIC CONTROLS that so limit the potential 20-30 year life that modern machines could easily otherwise last.

Trade Out I traded mine out solely because it was white on white and I was changing all my appliances to black. Ended up getting the Kenmore Elite because it was on sale and I was told essentially the same machine. It died at about 2 months outside its warrantee. At a repair cost at about 50 less than I paid for it to begin with.
I have a Miele Excella now. It is a FINE machine.
