With regards to the mass switch for Whirlpool, I was wondering if you have heard anything with regards to other companies. I was surprised to see GE still makes several regular toploaders in addition to their agitator hydrowave versions. It is kinda hard since Whirlpool owns the majority of the industry now.

Hydrowave

I find it very difficult to identify the Hydrowave with agitator to the regular machine with a transmission. Anything that is identified as a Hydrowave has that low-boy agi-plate in it.
