Hello out there, newbie here. A friend just moved into a very retro home unmolested since the 50's and she is keeping everything but the refrigerator. It's a PERFECT 1956 Frigidaire Cold Pantry, works great with all original trays, etc. I'm trying to figure out what it's worth and help her find a new home for it.

Can anyone tell me where i might look/research etc? I've googled it and the biggest help i got was a link to here. Any advice welcome.

Thanks

That GE or Hotpoint range is from the 1960s, possibly early 1970s.  What are the rest of the appliances like?  Also, could we see more photos of the fridge's interior?

Maybe she should consider keeping it as a spare fridge for drinks, parties, etc.   It's not practical as a main fridge for most people if it has to be manually defrosted.

Value is tough to determine without more pictures.  It's beautiful, but she shouldn't expect a windfall.

Depending on the inside condition, and if it's all there, I'd say somewhere between $200-300.00 is a fair price.

My advice is given freely, value accordingly.

I'm actually close to you and would be interested in the refrigerator. Probably around the price range above.let me know what you think.

Defrosting!

Manual defrost fridges hold a more even temperature, thus keep food better, the only reason we have a newer fridge is because I cant keep up with the ice cubes..Don uses more than anybody I have ever seen!!!
