Here is a KitchenAid dishwasher with that lovely cast iron wash arm. Looks pretty bad but will clean up well and runs perfectly! Mark

The hurricane wash system!

The photo isn't very good but the interior is in pretty good shape for it's age. Mark

Turquoise!

Frigidaire Fridge. This beauty came from Hans in North Carolina. While at his home and new appartment, he served us one of the BEST chocolate cakes I've ever eaten! Will he share the recipe?!?!?!?!!!! THANKS TO Roanoke Robert (aka. Lady Kenmore) and my hubby Gary, for lugging that beast onto and off the trailer!!! It kept the beer cold all the way home from North Carolina. Now THAT'S A FRIDGE!!! Mark

.....this one's a beauty!

Beautiful Westinghouse stove also from Hans. As you turn the dials to set the temp, the lighted dials change color! Mark

Westy changing colors

Is this the same year as Jetcone's washing machine that has the mood ring for a timer?

What colors does the stove show?

Westy heats and colors

They are probably like on my slightly newer stove:
HI is red; Medium Hi is orange; Medium is yellow, Low is green and Simmer is blue.

Hi All!

Tom nailed it right on the head! Hi is RED, Medium is ORANGE, Low is GREEN and simmer is BLUE. Really cool looking when lit. The guy with the 5 O'Clock shaddow is Bryan (aka Pokey) He is an artist that helps restore control panels to their original beauty....and he's not too hard on the eyes either! I'm not exactly sure of the ages of these finds but Tom or Robert will surely know. I'm going to the warehouse today so I'll get an inside shot of the fridge and dishwasher. It's one of the best lit fridges of that era that I can remember. Lights everywhere! It took all four of us to get that fridge on and off the truck. Got to weigh at least 250 to 300 lbs. Mark

Yeah, I know about moving fridges

Every one of us needs a storage place like that! Tell me about that turquoise washer/dryer set you have sitting to the right of the fridge.

Hi Mark, wonderful finds. That Westinghouse stove is the same stove that was on I LOVE LUCY during the episodes in the NY apartment. Be careful when you open the oven door, a loaf a bread may come popping out. A BIG loaf of bread! How many cakes of yeast was Lucy really supposed to use?

Gumbo gently boiling under the yellow light

Cool colors for a hot stove. Gee, now I know exactly what setting my gumbo is boiling at. What a miracle these modern appliances.

And an oven with a thermostat. gosh! My cakes will come out perfect every time.

What's a Kenmore hurricane wash system?

Please don't say way too much water.

Congratulations Mark, gee the past couple weeks seem to have been great for the club. Love that turquoise refrigerator. Can't wait to see inside shots. Remember too not to add to much rice when you fix chicken and rice ont that Westy. Remember the one where Ricky and Fred teamed up to do the housework while the gals went to work! Thanks for sharing. Oh yes, love, love, that Kitchen Aid too. Terry

WESTINGHOUSE STOVE

I knew somebody that had that stove, the oven broilerused metal wires instead of a heating element. Wellthey put tin foil above it to catch grease. And when they turned it on there was the fourth of july fireworks!!!!!!!

Westinghouse Stove

My Grandmother had a very similar stove, it did not have the double oven but instead the left side was a warming drawer. Also the rear left burner dropped down and had an insert for deep frying etc... Seeing the pictures brings back such great memories. I just love the lighted dials!

Great Find's!
