So here I am on holiday and I went to Comet to oggle at the latest washing consoles. I made a confession that about 80% of the models I looked at the draws only opend out 3-4 inches or so.the paticular target machines in the 80% were,
Haier
Hoover/Candy
Bosch
HEC

And the only other make that I took in to account was Hotpoint. the best of the above.

Door opening was something I looked into and the good door opening machines were
Candy/Hoover
Hotpoint
Bosch(some only)
panosonic
Zanussi(again only some)
Beko

Others I was not so impressed with.

Something that you will find though, the Bosch/Siemens machines drawers may only open a small way but that's because the drawers are deep and wide, they hold much more than Hotpoint Machines. Whirlpool machines also only open 3 inches and are very thin, they only hold 2 Persil tabs maximum!

Again Bosch/Siemens & Zanussi all open very wide-just because it isn't 180 doesn't mean they aren't open fully. The machines with 165 opening are still better than old machines only opening to 100. Plus Bosch & Zanussi hinges are much stronger than the other brands mentioned so even if it only opens to 165, I would choose those over Beko with standard hinges which may not last as long in terms of opening.

These are my opinions, but it annoys me how you can claim that Bosch/Zanussi are rubbish because the drawers only open a little way, or doors not 180Degrees.
