Apparently, the recent Bosch/Neff/Siemens dishwasher recall might be expanded to include Hotpoint-made machines, that were sourced from Bosch.

I think at least one of our members has such a Hotpoint. Is it "Aquarius1984"?

Indesit Group seem to have been given the nod that some Hotpoint machines before their tenure, might be affected.

HOTPOINT DWF30 Dishwasher

This apparently is the pcb that goes faulty.

In your last thread on Bosch Dishwashers, you informed me and my family about this problem. Three affected dishwashers in our family have now been fixed!

How much mental exercise must we now expend to keep track of Whirlmore/Maypool/Boschwhite/Frigilux? I'm glad I'm old and my White Frigilux washer will probably last the rest of my life.

Hey there

Thank you for the post, a family friend has a aquarius dwf30 in silver(graphite). Are hotpoint sorting this out free of charge if you ring up?

Thank you

We had a DWF34, left it in the old house when we moved! Replaced a 7829 (I think!) dishwasher. Both were great machines.

I am glad that people were alerted to this, and the machines were caught in time.

I actually discovered this completely by accident, whilst surfing Ukwhitegoods.

The link in my first post leads to a former salesman's queries and his own investigation.

I would think that Hotpoint will not charge as it is a safety recall, but it is always best to confirm with Hotpoint.

A neighbour had an affected Bosch. The engineer said none had actually caught fire, however read these comments of people's experiences, in the link below. They tell another story!

Oh dear,
We will have to step back in time to check paper work. Better to be safe than sorry.

Thanks for posting this, I've got a tabletop Hotpoint which is a badge-engineered Bosch, but the corresponding Bosch model SKT5102 seems not to be affected. Phew!

Jacob,

It's the model pictured below, although that picture is off Ebay.

Not sure how old it is, I bought it second hand in 2005-6, but I think they sold them for years. Hope that helps!

I have never seen the Hotpoint tabletop dishwashers but I can see this does look like a Bosch!

the tabletop above

I think that's a really old model, a 789*, it was released with the first Aquariuses, which was well before the 1999 production of the Bosch dishwashers. Although I guess every Hotpoint dishwasher made between 1999-2003 would be under scrutiny (in 2003 Indesit kicked in with their dishwasher range)
