These were the last reliable washers Maytag did. I really donīt know why people stop producing this kind of good stuff and replace them with expensive, unrealiable and uggly looking junk.

The LDE9824 is the dryer I currently have had since 12/07/1994.

That's a very nice dryer. You should look out for the matching LAT9824!

maytag dryer

I had a maytag dryer like the one in the pictures but sold it to a guy when he rented our small house as he didn't have a washer and dryer. The washer was a Magic Chef it was one of the machines after Maytag had taken over Norge. It was not the washer that our actually Norge built washer was. It was about a year ago that toby told me that the motor burnt up in it so it only lasted about 7 years. Not a good track record for maytag as they were supposed to last for ever. But getting back to the dryer I did like it, it was a good dryer, but not as good as our Norge built dryer was. Thank you.
