Wow, what a unique machine. I wish my French was much better.

If I ever had to use one of these, I'd be lost...

Hi Bert, lovely machine, is this a washer dryer??, the last bit of the video, was that the main motor or a blower unit??

Its great to see the machine top with a glass window, at least you can see the suds and rinse waters splashing about, very retro look to the French washers...and yes even washing machine instructions sound so sexy in French...LOl

Cheers, Mike

This so nice looking, stlyish and distinct like the AEG front loader recently posted on here.
Congratulations on getting another excellent machine.
You certainly have a fine collection of "H" axis machines.

As an H-axis toploader afficinado I absolutely love this machine. Wonderful features like the rapid advance timer and the window in the lid. Quite an addition to your collection.

I had never heard of the name Vendome. Ofcourse I'm not very familiar with the French market, but I do know some French brands. Was Vendome ever sold on the French market or was the name especially used for this proto type?

Interesting that this washer/dryer model was vented into the room. I guess the condenser models still had to be devellopped. A very nice machine for small apartments!

Hello,
This machine was a prototype, from a French Brand very popular from 50's to 70' s (in the beginning of the video, you can see the common model from which it was built)
The 2 last sequences are:
- the motor for wash and spin (with a security which stops the machine when the lid is opened);
- the blower unit (with a security which stops the heating if the motor is off).
See you soon and sorry if my English is not very good...
Bert
