I took the panels off to give the machine a good clean. It seems to have developed a slow leak from the pump :-/ what have i done??

I've taken some better pics :-)

An amazing machine you have there. Looks to be in good condition too :)

As to the leak, hmmm you could try checking if the sump has came loose, maybe the retaining band isn't tight enough.

Hope it gets sorted

I've fixed it. I had tried to take the pump cover off but couldn't manage to get it off so just tightened it up again, i think i cross threaded it by doing this :-/. I took it apart and managed to clean it out properly. There was 4 hair grips a penny and alot of old fluff stuck in there. Its working fine again now! :-) Thanks for the advice. I'm glad you like the machine. I'm very pleased with it!

Does this have any Electrolux components in it or is it all AEG?

Post# 583078 , Reply# 10   3/17/2012 at 18:14 (4,422 days old) by lordylord ()

Its all AEG according to a repairman who fitted the new door gasket yesterday. It was made before AEG started using Electrolux parts. His opinion was if your going to buy a AEG you might as well buy a Zanussi. He's worked on both and says there's no difference.
